LAST TOUCHES ON THE DRAFT FRAMEWORK LAW FOR INTERNAL SECURITY SECTOR

The Draft Framework Law was presented
The meeting’s aim was to present the work completed so far on the Draft Framework Law for Internal Security Sector, in line with EU and international standards.
Representatives of internal security forces participated in the meeting as well as the officials from the Ministry of Interior and the experts of the Project. The officials and experts made presentations on the objectives of the project, the methodology and rationale of the draft law and the Draft Framework Law for Internal Security Sector.
Constructive discussions made for perfection
The meeting continued and concluded with discussion on the Draft Framework Law for Internal Security Sector. The discussions proved a very productive and beneficial base for the last touches on the Draft Framework Law which is going to be concluded in a short time.
Almost ready
With the contributions of the participants the close to final draft framework law is almost ready to be presented to the MoI. The framework law stresses professionalism, universal human rights, and a common code of ethics for all the internal security forces as the core standards of service. In the draft law, MoI is given the responsibility to set a shared security strategy for all the Internal Security Forces.
